Description
HERE AT LAST! William Stout’s Comics & Stories is the first of a massive three-volume set gathering all of Stout’s comics-related art.
This beautiful 304-page hardcover from Flesk Publications chronicles Stout’s introduction to comics, his days in the most amazing art school in America, his apprenticeship with the great Russ Manning, his being inspired by the novels of Tarzan‘s and John Carter‘s creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Bill’s complete work for Petersen Publishing (including CYCLE-toons and CAR-toons), as well as his surprising venture into the world of sports comics.
Nearly all of the art in this book was shot from the original artwork (Being a packrat has finally paid off for Bill!).
This deluxe edition version of the book is limited to just 1000 copies, each with an extra Edgar Rice Burroughs-inspired full-color print signed by Stout. The price of this book is just $70 plus shipping.
