I just completed this John Carter of Mars piece. Unframed, it’s $2750 with free domestic shipping. The image size is about 13″ x 9″, inks and watercolor on board.
If I don’t sell it this week, it’ll be framed for Comic Con with a price bump.
Thought you might like to see it, whether or not you’re interested in purchasing it.
Beautiful, Bill! Enjoying your film stories! What a memoir!
Wonderful, as always!
This is the film that needs you as production designer and general guiding hand. I do hope they take another shot at a John Carter film one day. I tried to figure out why I didn’t fall in love with the version that made it to the screen. The reason I finally arrived at was that there were too few stand out, jaw dropping moments. When all was said and done the overall look of the film was excellent, but all I took away stuffed in that kid part of my memory that says “Wow!” was the arena fight with the white apes. John Carter is calling for a monster kid like you, Mr. Stout.
