The Two Rays

Check this out! Two of my favorite long time friends having a great conversation:

  1. Thanks, Bill. That’s an enjoyable one to recall on Ray’s birthday. By the way, over at the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation page on FB there is a great interview with Vanessa answering questions we were able to submit. Questions that we wanted to ask Ray, but never did. It’s a wonderful, delightful remembrance of her father and her life growing up with him. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

You were close to Ray. Any special or funny story you’d like to share?

    Best Always, Rick

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this, Bill!

Here’s another I looked up on the subject of these two pioneers that’s quite powerful:

  3. This is great. I take it there’s more to it than this. Is it available on dvd? I got to meet Ray Harryhausen twice and it was wonderful to talk with him. I’m with Rick, Mr. Stout. I’d love to hear any favorite stories you have about the man, or the two Rays. I just watched The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms again on the 4th of July. I wonder if they ever discussed doing any other films together. By the way, your story of the Marcel Delgado triceratops in your tribute to Willis O’Brien is almost as good as the art in the book. Just amazing. “The universe is composed of stories, not atoms.”
